Imaginarium in Barcelona: a trap for parents
Two entrances: one for kids, and one for the parents who will pay the bill

I love the concept of this store located in Barcelona, Spain, which sells toys, clothes and all kinds of stuffs for kids. I love the way they adapted the whole store to their very customers, i.e. kids.
It’s nowadays pretty common to see the furniture adapted to kids. Remember for instance what Apple does in its stores (see photo below, taken in the Apple of store on 5th Avenue in NY)
But it’s the first time I’ve seen a store with two entrances.
And guess what happens. The second “little” door works like a magnet for kids. They will go through it and parents will have no other alternative than to go through the normal door. And eventually they will … pay.
My take:
Wow … really a smart way to create an experience, actually already outside the store. Well done Imaginarium.
