Baccarat’s adverstisment … it reminds me of something
The new Baccarat campaign ... does it ring a bell ?

I stopped in Baccarat 2 weeks ago and visited the Baccarat crystal store … I was amazed to see how rejuvenated the brand got. In my mind Baccarat was associated to old-fashioned crystal glasses that you inherit from your grand-mother (I’m exaggerating a little bit of course). Well … it’s not that any more. The brand proposes two product lines which are displayed in two universes : jewellery and “art of living” (don’t speak about glasses … it’s really old-fashioned).
Just a short note about the “art of living” department. I shot this picture of an advertisement for table lights. In first instance I didn’t grasp the link between the image and the product. And I guess it’s done on purpose. Actually this advertisement reminded me of the numerous perfumes ads (Chanel for instance) and you see here the shift (which I missed) in image that Baccarat tries to settle: from a functional product to an experienced-based product. Well done .. especially when you don’t compromise quality.
